Our new Master Suite is so sweet......
Updated: Jul 16, 2020
I hinted about our renovation in one of my previous blogs. Our master suite is complete - and I am in LOVE with it. Well - I shouldn't say its complete - given the fact that our headboard was on backorder - and kept getting pushed out further and further - until I sadly cancelled it. So although my room is 99.9% done - it is missing that one item.
I decided - after some back and forth heavy arguments (with myself) - that the paint color was going to be White (Benjamin Moore - Decorator White). I was so nervous to make this my final choice - but I really wanted to have the space feel light and airy. White curtains - white comforter - white walls - white trim - the works....
I did, however, break up the white walls with one wall of Wallpaper in the Bedroom and the entry way wall. Most definitely my favorite part of the entire bedroom. So happy with my choice. Ordered the paper from Serena & Lily. They have so many pretty choices for wallpaper - if you happen to be in the market.
I was pretty proud of myself because I chose the faucets & shower pieces for the bathroom and lighting SO quickly. I didn't let it get the best of me (plus Rick needed everything immediately) 😂😂 I went with Polished Chrome finish for the entire bathroom and for the lighting in the bedroom. I love the way it looks with white.
Tile - was really fun to choose as well. Went with white subway tile for the shower walls - and did a fun tile for the floor. Used that same floor tile in a Niche that Rick built into the shower wall to hold his razor and my 17 bottles of shampoo - conditioner - face wash etc. 🤦♀️
Probably a surprise to many - but we went with carpet in our bedroom. We wanted a warm - cozy feel to the room and knew hardwood wouldn't cut it. SO happy with this decision.
Laundry room & walk in closet - are my new BFF's...(not really Linda)...so happy to have both. We had a closet company come and install shelving and drawers as well as hanging poles. So nice to be able to keep it all so organized. Our previous bedroom had NO closets.
Thanks for coming along on the tour of our new space. Rick did such an incredible job creating this beautiful space. Our old bedroom consisted of this entire space - it was much too large (with no closets). I got so much of the decor at Big Lots - Marshalls & Amazon Always remember - you don't have to shop the high end stores to find some really great items!!
Until next post....
